Maccabi Tel Aviv Athletics
The Maccabi Tel Aviv Athletics Division is one of the Club’s and Israeli sports’ oldest and most distinguished divisions.
The Division was established over 50 years ago by the late Abraham Green.
Today the division has over 250 active athletes, ranging from the age of six to the senior level, in all the athletic events (jumping, running, and throwing).
The Division has the best set of coaches in the country today, 12 coaches in all; and all are senior, experienced, and of course, certified.
The Athletics Division has spawned dozens of champions, Israeli record holders and Olympic athletes over the years, including Alex Averbukh, Konstantin Matusevich, Yochai Halevi, Danielle Frenkel, Dmitry Kroyter, Arie Gamliel, and Itai Maggidi, etc.
