The Israel Sports Association for the Disabled
The Israel Sports Association for the Disabled parallels the Olympic Committee of Israel. The Israel Paralympic Committee, combines all the competitive activities for the disabled in Israel, including activities in leagues, tournaments, and international participation in 15 sports. The Association is equivalent to the Olympic Committee of Israel for regular sports, and represents sports for the disabled before national and international bodies.
The Association engages in a variety of activities: coordinating 15 Olympic sports, organizing Israel championships in the 15 sports, and organizing national leagues. Preparation and participation of the Israel National Team in the 15 sports in world/ European Championships, representation in Israel and internationally of competitive elite sports for the disabled, and preparation of the Israel National Team for the Paralympic Games. The sports in the Association: handbike, athletics, badminton, weightlifting, archery, field tennis, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, goalball, fencing, shooting, equestrian, swimming and sailing.
